Class Style and Descriptions

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Basic standing

Basic standing teaches proper alignment through the entire body, and how to apply that to various asana. Students will learn how to stand correctly and how to come into basic asana both safely as well as efficiently. (Level: Basic)

 

Basic Core

The core is pinnacle to good health and proper body alignment. In this class we will not only strengthen the core muscles but also use them functionally to create safe movement. (Level: Basic)

 

Basic Backbend

Backbends enliven the body and free the spine, allowing for proper flow of energy throughout the entire body. Here we will learn how to safely backbend, including the fundamentals of alignment. (Level: Basic)

 

Basic Twists

Twisting allows the spine to rotate which frees it from the binding muscles surrounding it, which allows for energy to flow correctly. Twist also helps detoxify the digestive organs and calm the lymphatic system. (Level: Basic)

 

Basic Flow

Here we combine everything that we learned from all the other classes, and use our skills in flow class for beginners’ student. Designed to teach the essence of Vinyasa to beginner students, this class is a perfect for new students or other students who wish to have a more basic practice. (Level: Basic)

 

Advanced Vinyasa Yoga

This class will focus on different themes or parts of the body such as Arm Balance, Inversions, Handstand, and Backbends. Poses to expected in this class are Srisasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana, and are more challenging than an all – level Vinyasa class. Students will see their practices progress as they learn the cues and techniques from the instructors in class. (Level: Advanced Level)

 

Ashtanga

This First Series class is based from Ashtanga practice, in the class, instructor will guide you through the fixed poses of the traditional Ashtanga practice, also known as the Ashtanga Primary Series. It’s fast paced (traditionally 5 breaths per pose), fun and very challenging for all levels. The emphasis is on movement coordinated with the breath (Vinyasa). (Level – All Levels)

 

Lullaby Signature*: Breathe and Flow

This class is designed to provide the heart of what Vinyasa is all about, matching movement to the breath. Students flow through a energetic, uplifting, whilst soothing asana class. (Level – All Levels)

Lullaby Signature*: Flexi

This Vinyasa class will, again, focus on matching breath to movement, however, there will be an emphasis on flexibility improvement. Major muscle groups and joints will receive attention, and through specially chosen asana, will be comfortably stretched and opened. The ligaments and the fascia will also be given attention, leaving the body comfortable and relaxed. (Level – All Levels)

 

Lullaby Signature*: Strengthening

This Vinyasa class is designed to strengthen the body, both the upper and lower body. Flexibility needs to be matched with strength and this class is designed to keep the body solid stable and supported. (Level – All Levels)

 

Lullaby Signature*: Detox

This Vinyasa style class is designed to cleanse the body physically energetically and emotionally. You will feel refreshed and vitalized after this class, with a renewed bill of health. (Level – All Levels)

 

Lullaby Signature: Calm and Cool

This Vinyasa style class is designed to relax the mind and the body. Relieve stress and calm down after a long day, allowing you to wake up refreshed. (Level – All Levels)

 

Lullaby Signature*: Wake and Refresh

This Vinyasa style class is designed to get you up and get you moving, with the goal of having a great productive day. Shake off the stress, shake off the stiffness, get the blood flowing, and greet the day the best way you can. (Level – All Levels)

 

Hot Vinyasa

This class is designed for those who prefer a vigorous flow style of yoga (Vinyasa), in a heated room at a temperature of 90-95 degree Fahrenheit (32-35 degree Celsius). The practice includes stretches and breathing as well as simple movements designed to systematically increase the range of motion of every major joint and increase energy. This class is ideal for students with chronic symptoms such as muscle/joint pain, stiffness, weakness, or fatigue. (Level: All – Levels)

 

Prenatal Yoga

This yoga class provides a nurturing environment for women with an experienced certified Pre-Natal USA Yoga Alliance Teacher. Through yoga postures, guided relaxation and breath awareness you will prepare the body and mind for the birth, and at the same time relieve the discomfort and stress associated with pregnancy. No Yoga experience is required and you can join the class when you are ready. Please consult your doctor and arrive 10-15 minutes early to your first class
