Mysore class provides an opportunity for students to develop a “self practice,” which is an integral part of the Ashtanga system. Students work independently on the particular series of postures that is most appropriate for them. The teacher assists, adjusts and may quietly discuss particular difficulties or concerns with individual students during class.
In a Led Primary Series class, the teacher calls out the postures and Vinyasa (counted movements linking the postures with the breath) of the Ashtanga Primary Series. The group moves and breathes together in sync. These are focused, highly energetic classes and recommended for experienced students. Led Primary is great for student to review vinyasa count as well as learn to refine your practice in traditional method.
